Łukasiewicz – Poznań Institute of Technology presents Shift2Zero to future logistics professionals
The Łukasiewicz – Poznań Institute of Technology (LPIT) introduced Shift2Zero project to students from the logistics technician program at the Jan Paweł II Public School Complex in Kudowa-Zdrój. The visit, celebrated in LPIT facilities on April 14th, gave students a practical insight into the work of logistics researchers and introduced them to Europe’s vision for sustainable transport through the project.
Damian Dubisz, project partner and Senior Logistics Development Specialist at LPIT, offered a general overview of Shift2Zero highlighting its main objectives, expected results and innovations to be developed.
Students had the opportunity to understand how research projects like Shift2Zero are designed, implemented, and tested in real logistics environments. They explored how digitalisation, intelligent systems, and sustainable design are integrated to create smarter, greener logistics networks.
As part of the European Union’s push towards climate neutrality, Shift2Zero aims to transform rail freight and logistics by developing zero-emission, highly efficient transport solutions.
Additionally, participants took part in a hands-on workshop using LEGO bricks to simulate warehouse logistics, followed by a discussion on how research and consulting drive real improvements in supply chains and policy.
