Electric vehicles in urban area: which is the logistics model?

In urban and periurban areas, there is increasing pressure from local authorities to deploy electric vehicles. In some cases, public authorities are also providing guidelines on how to modify logistics models related to urban logistics to support or even enforce this change. As part of the Shift2Zero project, we are analysing a range of logistics models to assess what works effectively and what falls short. We are also evaluating next-generation electric vehicles designed specifically to meet the demands of urban logistics.

On behalf of Shift2Zero we are pleased to invite you to the upcoming workshop “Electric vehicles in urban areas: which is the logistics model?”, organised by Gruber Logistics within the the Transport Logistic International Trade fair taking place in Munich. This workshop aims to foster an active debate among research organizations, authorities, and logistics companies.

About the project

Shift2Zero is a European project developing mission-focused, zero-emission electric light commercial vehicles (e-LCVs) designed to meet the dynamic demands of urban logistics. By focusing on innovative N1 e-LCV designs and functionalities, the project aims to enhance operational efficiency, significantly reduce road transport emissions, and provide practical solutions aligned with real-world challenges.
