Future logistics experts discover Shift2Zero at Łukasiewicz – Poznań Institute of Technology

Project partners form the Łukasiewicz – Poznań Institute of Technology (LPIT) presented Shift2Zero to students from the logistics technician program at Zespół Szkół Ponadpodstawowych No. 1 in Krotoszyn, during two visits organized on October 17th and 23rd.

The visits offered students a unique opportunity to connect logistics theory with real-world research practice and to learn about Europe’s transition toward sustainable transport solutions.

Celina Manuszak, Senior Knowledge Management Specialist, opened the sessions with an introduction to the Łukasiewicz Research Network and the scope of LPIT’s activities in the logistics and transport sectors. Following this, experts from the Logistics Research Group, Rafał Rokicki and Mateusz Maślanka, presented the Institute’s current research and innovation projects, including Shift2Zero, GreenTurn, and CRISTAL, focusing on how these initiatives contribute to green and digital transformation in logistics.

Students also visited the RFID Technology Laboratory and discovered practical applications of identification technologies and discussed their relevance for modern supply chain management.

Through these interactive sessions, students gained a deeper understanding of how European research projects such as Shift2Zero are designed, implemented, and tested and how innovation supports the shift toward zero-emission, intelligent logistics systems.
