Shift2Zero shares its experience at the CIVITAS Forum 2026

The Shift2Zero project  took part in the CIVITAS Forum 2026, held from 15–17 September in Thessaloniki, Greece, where partners shared the project’s contribution to cleaner and more efficient urban logistics with Europe’s sustainable mobility community.

Shift2Zero partner FIT Consulting joined the session “Urban Freight Data Connectivity and System Operations: From Data Sharing to Measurable Outcomes”, presenting experiences on how data sharing between logistics stakeholders can translate into measurable results for cities.

The project was also featured in the session “City–Innovation Partnerships in Action: From Research to Urban Logistics Transformation in Thessaloniki”, organised together with the MED COLOURS, DISCO, CodeZERO and UNCHAIN projects. With contributions from FIT Consulting and the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH), the session showed how Shift2Zero combines vehicle innovation with city-oriented operational planning.

Particular attention went to the city-aware fleet management tools being developed by CERTH/HIT, which aim to better integrate logistics operations with urban constraints, policies and sustainability objectives. The presentation also introduced the Thessaloniki use cases that will demonstrate how these solutions can support more efficient, electrified and adaptable urban logistics in practice.

The Forum took place the same week as the project’s 4th General Assembly, also held in Thessaloniki, making it an ideal opportunity to connect with the wider urban mobility community and exchange experiences with other European projects working on sustainable urban logistics.
