Shift2Zero takes part at the Tomorrow.Mobility Congress in Barcelona
The Shift2Zero project was represented at the Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress 2025 held in Barcelona from 5th to 7th November.
Paola Cossu, CEO of FIT Consulting and Board Member of the Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe (ALICE), took part as a speaker in a session on urban freight and data-driven collaboration for sustainable cities. The discussion addressed one of the most pressing challenges in urban logistics today: the fragmentation of valuable data across disconnected systems, which prevents cities from managing freight flows efficiently.
During the session, Shift2Zero was introduced as a leading example of how innovation and collaboration can accelerate the shift to zero-emission logistics. By demonstrating standardized EV cargo modules that improve last-mile delivery flexibility and operational efficiency, Shift2Zero contributes to building a new model of urban logistics, one that connects transparency, trust, and technology to deliver measurable sustainability impact.
In this context, the discussion also highlighted complementary European projects such as DISCO and URBANE, which are advancing data-driven and interoperable frameworks for urban logistics. Together, these projects show how transparency and trust can unlock new value streams for cities, operators, and citizens, strengthening supply chain resilience and supporting the green and digital transition.
In addition, the session also gathered key European institutions including EIT Urban Mobility, the City of Portland, Dublin City Council, and the City of Munich to explore how data spaces can redefine the way cities and logistics operators share and govern information.
Tomorrow.Mobility brought together international experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to shape the future of sustainable urban mobility, reaffirming Europe’s collective commitment to decarbonisation, digitalisation, and collaboration.
