Shift2Zero project kicks off to drive zero-emission logistics
The Shift2Zero project was officially launched in January 2025 in Barcelona, marking a significant step toward revolutionizing sustainable urban mobility. With a strong focus on zero-emission logistics solutions, the initiative aims to reshape the future of urban transport.
Coordinated by Eurecat Technology Centre, Shift2Zero brings together experts from multiple disciplines to develop cutting-edge designs and functionalities for mission-specific, zero-emission N1 electric light commercial vehicles (e-LCVs). The main objective of the project is to significantly reduce road transport emissions while enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring that real-world challenges are met with innovative solutions.
This Horizon Europe project thrives on the collaborative efforts of 30 partners across 10 European countries. The consortium includes universities, research centers, SMEs, public administrations, and a logistics innovation network, all working hand in hand to drive the transition to greener, more efficient urban logistics.
