Shift2Zero consortium meets in Bergen to celebrate its first General Assembly
From 17 – 19 of September, Shift2Zero partners gathered in Bergen, Norway, to share the status of the project, which aims to accelerate zero-emission urban logistics.
The meeting was held at the facilities of City of Bergen and included a live demo showcasing how the interaction between small electric vehicles can make goods delivery more efficient, while the municipality’s digital speed limits make the city safer for vulnerable road users. The demo was organised by project’s partners from City of Bergen, Paxster AS and DHL Express Norway.
The General Assembly provided an opportunity to share updates on the project’s progress, discuss testing techniques, and outline the next steps.
Coordinated by Eurecat Technology Centre, Shift2Zero brings together experts from multiple disciplines to develop cutting-edge designs and functionalities for mission-specific, zero-emission N1 electric light commercial vehicles (e-LCVs). The main objective of the project is to significantly reduce road transport emissions while enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring that real-world challenges are met with innovative solutions.
This Horizon Europe project thrives on the collaborative efforts of 30 partners across 10 European countries. The consortium includes universities, research centers, SMEs, public administrations, and a logistics innovation network, all working hand in hand to drive the transition to greener, more efficient urban logistics.
