Introducing Shift2Zero at the International Transport Forum 2025 Summit

The Shift2Zero project was represented at the International Transport Forum ITF 2025 Summit taking place from 21st – 23rd of May in Leipzig, Germany.

Paola Cossu, CEO of FIT Consulting and Board Member of the Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe (ALICE), participated in the high-level panel discussion “Reinventing Logistics Vehicles for Decarbonisation”. The session, organized and moderated by Amazon as an official side event, brought together industry leaders to explore how vehicle innovation and regulatory reform can accelerate the shift to zero-emission logistics.

During the panel, Paola shared the strategic vision for the Twin Transition, where digitalisation and decarbonisation are tightly interwoven to drive sustainable change. She also talked about FIT Consulting’s perspective on how innovation must meet implementation to make zero-emission logistics a reality.

In this sense, Shift2Zero was highlighted as a key EU-funded project promoting sustainability and electrification of urban logistics. The project is pioneering innovative designs and cutting-edge solutions for zero-emission electric light commercial vehicles (e-LCVS), tailored to meet the evolving needs of urban logistics.

On the other hand, URBANE and DISCO, two other European projects driving forward the digital-green transition and investments mobilisation, were showcased during the panel.

The ITF Summit is the world’s largest gathering of transport ministers and the premier global transport policy event. This year’s edition brought together more than 1200 delegates from over 80 countries discussing ways to protect global supply chains and transport systems in general against shocks and disruptions.
