GRUBER Logistics presents Shift2Zero insights on urban logistics at the ALICE Innovation Summit 2025
The Shift2Zero project took part in the session “From EGUM Recommendations to Practice – One Year of Progress in Urban Logistics?” during the ALICE Logistics Innovation Summit 2025, held on 23–24 October in Brussels.
The event, organised by ALICE – Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe, gathered experts, policymakers, and industry leaders from across Europe to explore how innovation can accelerate the green and digital transition in freight transport and logistics.
The session reviewed the progress made one year after the publication of the European Group of Urban Mobility (EGUM) recommendations. Discussions focused on how cities, companies, and European projects are translating policy frameworks into real-world actions that drive sustainable change.
Eleonora Ghetti, project partner from GRUBER Logistics, presented key insights from the Shift2Zero project, showcasing how innovation and public–private collaboration are supporting the development of more efficient and sustainable urban logistics systems. The session explored the complexities of urban logistics and highlighted how projects like Shift2Zero are crucial for translating emission reduction goals into concrete actions, while ensuring economic and operational efficiency for logistic providers.

The panel also featured representatives from EIT Urban Mobility, DG MOVE, POLIS Network, and the Horizon Europe projects DECARBOMILE, LogE-Hubs, UNCHAIN and URBANE, highlighting how collaboration and innovation are driving the transition towards efficient, low-emission last-mile delivery systems in Europe.
Shift2Zero’s participation in this forum reaffirms its commitment to supporting the transition towards zero-emission transport and logistics systems, in line with Europe’s broader sustainability and competitiveness objectives.
