Our MOBILISE research group at VUB aims to accelerate sustainable and inclusive mobility by analysing transport impacts, raising awareness, and engaging people in planning and evaluation.
Contribution to Shift2Zero
VUB will be the lead partner in defining user- and mission-centric requirements for zero-emission light commercial vehicles, focusing on urban and suburban logistics and freight mobility. As part of this, the team will assess user preferences and trade-offs, providing key insights to guide vehicle design and identify synergies with innovative logistics concepts. Additionally, VUB will conduct simulations for pilot optimization, coordinate real-life demonstrations in Brussels, and evaluate operational performance.
