Cold Car
Cold Car is an Italian company born in 1968, which became over the years the leader in the design and production of bodies equipped with eutectic refrigeration system, strongly oriented to innovation and advanced technology. Cold Car represents the best guide for what concerns mobile refrigeration solutions for bodies for the distribution of foodstuff and perishable goods. Such an experience has given in time long lasting bodies with a higher efficiency. The production capacity is nearly 1500 bodies per year, with 4 plants destined to the different productive phases.
Contribution to Shift2Zero
Cold Car will prototype three different cargo bodies, two of which will be suitable to be fit on the Alke and Iveco electric chassis vehicles and will collaborate with Eurecat to integrate PCM technology and movable panel systems. The different cargo bodies will include specific IOT device with hardware and a dedicated software for monitoring the parameter of the delivering missions. Cold Car will build the cargo bodies, validate thermal management system and IoT functionality and proceed with an ATP homologation test.
