Contribution to Shift2Zero
IDIADA’s activities are related to improving Pedestrian and Passive Safety while promoting sustainability. For Pedestrian Safety, it focuses on redesigning the bonnet and bumper. Passive Safety improvements include bioplastic and auxetic structures in door trims. The project aims to reduce parts, assembly time, and environmental impact while exploring new assembly methods and multi-material solutions. Key objectives include weight reduction, shorter manufacturing times, cost-efficiency, improved recyclability, and scalability to large-scale production. Importantly, the project aligns outcomes with homologation requirements to ensure street-legal status, balancing innovation with regulatory compliance.
